About Us

S.C.A.R. Derby is the one, the only, the original women's flat track roller derby league in Central Minnesota. S.C.A.R. was formed in 2011 with the goal of bringing the challenging, exciting, and empowering revival of modern roller derby to the people of Saint Cloud, MN and its surrounding areas. We want you to experience this fast-paced, hard-hitting sport for yourself! We are excited to grow our league: skaters, referees, non-skating officials, volunteers, sponsors, and fans all make up the fabric of S.C.A.R. Derby - a fun and inclusive community that supports each other on and off the track. In addition to being talented and tenacious athletes, the skaters of S.C.A.R. are dedicated to giving back to the community through charity partnerships and fundraisers.

SCAR Derby is excited to announce that starting this 2026-2027 season all skaters, regardless of their gender identity, are welcome to join the team! While roller derby has a strong history as a women’s sport, current trends across the sport and our team’s commitment to being inclusive have brought us to the decision to open up the league to everyone. Whether you join us as a skater, an official, a non skating official or a volunteer, everyone is welcome on the track with SCAR!
